パーソナルヒストリー
筑波大学卒業後、都内で初期・後期臨床研修修了し、沖縄へ戻る。
沖縄県立南部医療センター・こども医療センター新生児内科にて4年間勤務。
臨床を行う中で保健の重要性を感じたこともあり、以前より興味のあった国際保健学へ入学。
メッセージ
こんにちは。私はこれまで臨床医として働いていましたが、今回、思い切って新たな分野に飛び込んでみました。
保健に関しては初心者ですが、これから多くの刺激を受け、学び、研究を行いたいと思います。

パーソナルヒストリー
京都大学文学部哲学科心理学専攻卒業後、少年鑑別所にて勤務。退職後、長崎大学医療技術短期大学部にて作業療法士の資格取得。精神科クリニック、精神科病院、特別支援学校などに勤務。2010年県立広島大学保健福祉学部にて修士号取得後、同大学作業療法学科に勤務中。地域では発達障害の子供たちの支援や、非行関連の親の会や自立準備ホームの支援に取り組んでいる。沖縄と広島を行ったり来たり生活。
メッセージ
私の研究テーマは国内でのものなのですが、国際的なマインドで研究できるようになりたいなーと思ってアプライしたら、ラッキーにも受け入れていただけました。グローバルとローカル、両方の視点を持っていることが大事！というのが教室の方針だったからなのですね。先生方も学生の皆さんも、本当にパワフルで、オープンマインドで、気持ちがいい方々ばかりです。世界をとても近くに感じつつ、沢山の良い刺激をうけながら学べるところです。VILAY Phoutnalong

Personal History
September 2019, PhD: Graduate School of Health Sciences
October 2020: Medical Officer, Center of Malariology, Parasitology and Entomology, Ministry of Health, Lao PDR
I graduated at medical university of Lao PDR in 2000, after that I started work at Center of Malariology, Parasitology and Entomology under Ministry of Health. The main respond for malaria disease control and prevention and also related with dengue and parasitic diseases control. During working I had many chance to attend on tropical disease control training as well as participate in international conferences. Additionally, I have worked closely with NGOs and international agencies such as WHO, HPA, JICA/SATREP, PSI, USAID and national and local partners to combat the diseases in Lao PDR.
Message
My willing is try to learn and absorb the value lesson from professors, teachers and colleagues in order to be a scientific researcher in a field of public health. I believe that the principle and lesson learn that I going to receive from the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of the Ryukyus, Okinawa, Japan, will be applied to assist in the national malaria control progamme and related diseases control.

January 2020-: Associate Professor, College of Public Health, University of the Philippines
I worked on the prevention and control of leptospirosis in the Philippines. Apart from my laboratory work, my duties as a research assistant also entailed going to the field to collect data. I wanted to pursue further studies in the field of global health; hence, I entered the Department of Global Health, University of the Ryukyus.

I just entered the Doctor program this year and I am looking forward to learn everything I can not only from my professors and fellow students at the Department of Global Health, but also from my experience living in a wonderful foreign country like Japan. I am excited to apply everything that I will learn here in my home country.

パーソナルヒストリー (Personal history)
He graduate on March 2019 and required PhD. He started to promote health education in Lao PDR as key person in National University of Lao PDR.
After graduated bachelor degree in 2007, I started to work at the Faculty of Education, National University of Laos as a English and Basic computer lecture until now. During I worked there, I had good opportunity to worked and attended in seminar, workshop, training and international conference with many professors around the world that related educational field. In addition, in the end of 2013, I got big chance to work with Japaneses people in Eco-Health Project as a member (this project supported by Japanese government). This project conducted about school health promotion in Laos.(especially, health check activity and ecohealth education curriculum development in Laos)
メッセージ (Message)
After I got graduated here, I hope to use my Knowledge and share experience that I have learned here to promote the important about public health and health education not only in my country, but in globalize that related to my field.
I am very proud to be student at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of the Ryukyus, Okinawa, Japan. Okinawa people are very kind and open to me, especially my Sensei, tutor and classmate they always help me for everything (Arigatoo gozaimasu , ຂອບໃຈຫຼາຍໆເດີ).
